An important and touching piece of family history

I transcribed a letter the other day (scroll to bottom of the page), a moving letter from a soon-to-be Father-in-law (John Beynon) to a soon-to-be Son-in-law (Benjamin Nicholas), giving his blessing to the marriage and their decision to move away from the family. This is a father, doing the right thing, but expressing a bit of regret that his daughter (Margaret Beynon) will no longer be close to him. Benjamin and Margaret ended up in America, so I'll have to check census records and maybe some other resources to see if they settled somewhere else first. This very interesting letter adds so much personality to the historical figures that we only know by birth and death dates, census records, and headstones.

p.s. Any Welsh speakers or readers want to help me with the address?

TWYN-YR-ODYN is a street in Merthyr Tydfil which translates as "HILL OF THE KILN", probably because there was a brick works nearby as seen on this map from 1875 - http://www.alangeorge.co.uk/e-comon/Images_Q-T/Twynyrodyn_Brickworks_1875_OSmap.jpg

There is no sign of the brick works today apart from the name of the road in the same location - Brickfield Crescent as shown on openstreetmap - https://www.openstreetmap.org/export#map=18/51.74365/-3.37178

John Beynon's address is listed, in the 1851 census, as Pen hoel Terthyr, in 1861, as Penhoel Ferthyr, in 1871 and 1881 as 43 Twynyrodyn. In 1891 Mary Beynon (John's widow) is shown living at 29 Gilfach Cynon. From the maps it would appear that Twynyrodyn Road, Gilfach Cynon and Penheol Ferthyr are all sections of the same street running up a hill from near the railway station to the outskirts of the town.
